Floors Are Often An Overlooked High-Touch Surface

During pandemics or flu season, everyone is concerned about disinfect door knobs and other high touch areas, but do not consider the floor surface to be in the high-touch category.

Floors should be maintained using matting to keep salt, and other pathogens from entering.

Regular floor maintenance with good cleaning tools should be used to reduce cross-contamination rather than spreading it throughout the building. Periodic deep cleaning must be maintained which will extend the life of floors and maintain a “like new” condition.

The floor is the first thing visitors see when entering your building or home.  Beautiful floors begin with first choosing the right floor that will withstand traffic where it will be installed.

If you have a stone floor, apply a resilient floor protector to prevent future staining; most importantly, stop debris from entering the building which will damage the floors. Maintain floor appearance with a daily cleaning regimen to include daily dusting and use of a neutral pH cleaner.
